Donnington Way Walking Guidebook

Donnington Way Walking Guidebook

by: Colin Handy
Donnington Brewery brews real ale in the very heart of the Cotswolds and maintains 15 public houses in what must be one of the country's most perfect areas. For many, the name of Donnington means more than good beer; it's a whole way of life. The Donnington Way is a 62-mile walk linking these pubs in a circular path through rural Gloucestershire.

It is possible to join the route at any point of your choice, but the guide starts and ends at the ancient Market Place at Stow-on-the-Wold. Most Donnington houses offer bed and breakfast facilities, enabling you to walk distances of your choice. The Donnington Way is a true Cotswold delight for the rambler who thrives on well-kept countryside, hidden villages and good beer.

Clear navigation instruction together with some background information about the walks is supplemented with detailed illustrated sketch maps and black and white photographs of the pubs. Addresses, telephone numbers and email addresses for the pubs is provided.
