Longer Walks on Dartmoor Guidebook

Longer Walks on Dartmoor Guidebook

by: John Noblet
Dartmoor can be dramatic rugged moorland with fantastic views, gentle countryside, picturesque villages and fast-flowing rivers. Dartmoor is the sort of place where you can be on wide open moorland one minute but in a wooded river valley the next, and many of the walks in this book include much of that variety in a single day.

Each walk has fully detailed route instructions, full colour Ordnance Survey 1:25000 scale Explorer mapping, an introduction, basic facts and lots of interesting information about the history and scenery and folklore as you go along. The book also has lots of colour photographs throughout. All the walks are circular and have been selected to provide a broad overview of the rich and varied landscape that is Dartmoor.
