Suffolk Coast and Heath Walks

This guide describes three long distance routes which can be combined to complete a circuit of the entire Suffolk Heritage Coast. The routes are: The Suffolk Coast Path, the Stour and Orwell Walk and the Sandlings Walk. These routes explore some of the most appealing coastal landscapes in southern England, much of the Suffolk coastal region being a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Each of the routes has been divided into day stages of between 5 and 12 miles with facilities available at or near to the end points. It is also feasible to plan many day walks along sections of the routes where there are transport links available. There is much to be admired among the region's estuaries, marshes, dunes and sand and shingle beaches, and its once-key seaports show the area's significant maritime history.

The guide includes an introduction to the area plus essential practical information for route planning and safe walking, including tidal and ferry information. Each of the stages is described in detail and full colour 1:50,000 OS mapping is included. There are also many colour photographs illustrating places of interest.
