This walking guidebook roots out the places mentioned in the old tales and visits the locations that Robin Hood and his men would have known. There are 24 walks through some of middle England's finest countryside on miles of well-marked footpaths, and a good range of gentle and moderate walks ranging from 1.5 miles to 7.25 miles in length.

Visit interesting historical sites associated with the outlaw legend. Stoops, caves, wells, and stones with the outlaw's names have been traced and woven into the walks taking you through Robin Hood country. Substantial historical text and descriptions of places of interest is provided and printed in italics to distinguish it from the route navigation instructions.

Essential information is provided in a panel at the beginning of each walk chapter. This includes distance, starting point with grid reference and how to get there, parking, and OS Explorer map sheet number. The route navigation instructions are clear and supported by detailed well-drawn maps.
