Day Walks in Cornwall Guidebook

Day Walks in Cornwall Guidebook

by: Jen and Sim Benson
This colourful guidebook features twenty circular routes between 7.2 and 13.7 miles in length, suitable for hillwalkers of all abilities. Researched and written by Jen and Sim Benson, the walks reach areas from Bude to the Isles of Scilly and from Rame Head near Plymouth to Lizard Point on the southernmost tip, taking advantage of the stunning South West Coast Path.

Explore Chapel Porth caves, head for the Merry Maidens stone circle in Lamorna, examine the serpentine rock at Lizard Point, watch over medieval Tintagel Castle and parade past Cromwell's Castle: you'll find Cornwall has it all.

This superb guidebook is lavishly illustrated with stunning colour photographs. Each of the routes includes Ordnance Survey 1:25,000 scale mapping with the route highlighted. The detailed directions text is written in numbered paragraphs with the numbers shown on the maps, so you always know where you are on the route. Each walk entry begins with a description of the route and its features plus basic facts including distance, start point with grid reference and nearest post code, total ascent, estimated time and refreshment options. The routes are arranged into five geographical areas.
