Guide to Bristol and Bath Pub Walks Guidebook

Guide to Bristol and Bath Pub Walks Guidebook

by: Nigel Vile
Discover the beauty of the countryside around Bristol and Bath with this cute little guidebook which will lead you to some of the finest walking in the area. The 20 circular routes vary in length from 4 to 8 miles and are centred on a broad variety of welcoming pubs recommended for their good food.

Explore the Severn Estuary, climb above Cheddar Gorge, and visit picturesque villages such as Wiltshire's Castle Combe. See the ancient stone circle at Stanton Drew, the vast reservoirs of the Chew Valley, the Victorian pier at Clevedon and take in magnificent views with routes covering parts of the Cotswolds, Severn Vale and Mendip Hills.

The pocket-size book is printed in full colour and includes colour photographs of some of the pubs and places visited. Each of the walk entries includes walk summary and highlights, pub details including telephone, web address and post code, how to get to the start, parking information and the relevant OS Explorer map sheet number. The navigation instructions are printed in numbered paragraphs and there are simple sketch maps which also show the paragraph numbers locations. It would be advisable to have the OS map with you.
