Guide to Peak District Pub Walks

Guide to Peak District Pub Walks

by: Charles and Jamie Wildgoose
Discover the beauty of the Peak District with this cute little guidebook which will lead you to some of the best walks the county has to offer. The 20 circular routes vary in length from 2 to 7 miles and are centred on a broad variety of good pubs.

The routes include Dovestone, Ladybower and Redmires reservoirs and the Monsal Trail. Explore the Norman-built Peveril Castle at Castleton, the magnificence of Chatsworth House and the beauty of the River Wye that make up the stunning scenery of each walk. You'll also get a chance to savour fantastic views from Minninglow and Edale, and travel along a small part of the Pennine Way.

The pocket-size book is printed in full colour and includes colour photographs of some of the pubs and places visited. Each of the walk entries includes walk summary and highlights, pub details including telephone, web address and post code, how to get to the start, parking information and the relevant OS Explorer map sheet number. The navigation instructions are printed in numbered paragraphs and there are simple sketch maps which also show the paragraph numbers locations. It would be advisable to have the OS map with you.
