Isle of Anglesey Walking Map

Isle of Anglesey Walking Map

by: Northern Eye
This map is essentially an Ordnance Survey Explorer 1:25000 scale map of the Wales Coast Path covering the complete Isle of Anglesey section. But it has the additional benefit of having the map in a book format. This innovative concept makes it a perfect companion for walkers on the Trail as the book format is more convenient and easier to use while outside compared with a large paper map. It is also more cost effective, reducing the need to purchase several OS Explorer sheets necessary for a linear route.

The complete Isle of Anglesey path is covered in 41 pages of full colour mapping, beginning from the Menai Bridge and travelling in an anti-clockwise direction. The path is clearly marked on the maps and there are symbols showing facilities at the main towns and villages. There is also a page with useful contact information and a short introduction with a photographic mosaic.

Almost all of Anglesey's complete, unbroken 125-mile coastal circuit is recognised as an Area of Outstanding Natural beauty. Th island is famous for its dramatic cliffs, vast sandy beaches, prehistoric sites, medieval castle, several lighthouses, rich natural habitats and plentiful wildlife. Along the way you have a good chance of spotting grey seals, red squirrels and dolphins as well as peregrines, puffins and choughs.
