Lake District Tea Shop Walks Guidebook

Lake District Tea Shop Walks Guidebook

author: Catherine Savidge
Lake District Tea Shop Walks is written for friends and families looking for an enjoyable walk to do together, to be followed by a good cup of tea and a delicious slice of cake.

There are twenty different walks in the Lake District National Park included in the book, and all have simply stunning views of this very special part of the world. There are walks around tarns and lakes, along rivers and estuaries, through parkland, farmland and woodland, as well as walks up some of the national parks most accessible fells.

Each walk starts and finishes at a tearoom, chosen because of its fantastic selection of cakes and because it offers something different from the ordinary. Each walk entry begins with a route summary and a panel giving practical information including distance, starting point with grid reference, parking, OS Explorer sheet number, and details of any local attractions. This is followed by navigation instructions supported by a detailed sketch map. Black and white photographs and background notes in italics are included together with information and contact details for the tea shop.
