Walks Around Bromyard Guidebook

Walks Around Bromyard Guidebook

by: Andrew Kneen
This walks pack contains 8 separate leaflets, each describing a local walk. Bromyard has many attractions, historic buildings, picturesque inns and pubs, and interesting shops with the variety of an old market town. One of the leaflets describes a town walk which will tell you a little about them. A further attraction is the beautiful countryside around the town. You can walk into it from the town centre in a few minutes and the walks in these leaflets are designed to guide you.

Four of the walks start from Bromyard centre, two from Bromyard Downs and two from nearby villages. The walks are of different lengths, the town walk might take an hour and the longest needs a whole day. Most have short and long options to suit your time and energy.

The walks are as follows:
Leaflet 1 - Frome valley 2 miles and Town Walk
Leaflet 2 - Buckenhill, Edvin Loach 7.5 miles. Short walk 4 miles
Leaflet 3 - Bromyard Downs 2.5 miles. Racecourse 1.25 miles. Bromyard to Downs and return 2.5 miles
Leaflet 4 - Bromyard Downs to Whitbourne via Bringsty Common 8 miles. Short Walk 3 miles
Leaflet 5 - Bromyard Downs to Linton Mill 3 miles

The walks are described in detailed numbered paragraphs and large-scale sketch maps show the route with numbers relating to the text. The leaflets are contained in a plastic sleeve and an update sheet (May 2020) provides information about changes on the ground since the leaflets were published.
