Walks Around Porthmadog and Blaenau Ffestiniog Guidebook

Walks Around Porthmadog and Blaenau Ffestiniog Guidebook

by: David Perrptt and Marit Olsson
Porthmadog is a splendid seaside resort and touring centre for the Snowdonia National Park. Inland, Blaenau Ffestiniog is now a town transformed from one of the world's greatest slate mining centres into a historic resort. Linking the two is the fascinating and lively Ffestiniog steam railway which passes through absolutely stunning scenery. It is a truly fulfilling area for both experienced and casual walkers, who can enjoy sweeping views, lakes and mountains, rivers and waterfalls, together with the stimulating remains of the industrial revolution.

The book contains 20 great walks with something for all the family, exploring the coast, villages and mountains and including the charming railway. Each walk has an overview summary and start location information. Detailed route finding instructions include a sketch map. Walk distances vary from 2 to 6.5 miles.
